Sonamura, Tripura, 19th of February, 2026 : On specific information of the Sonamura Police, secret operation was launched in at Sonamura on Thursday(19th February, 2026). Sonamura Police, recovered and seized total 520 Kg Ganja (cannabis).
According to sources, Today Sonamura Police conducted raid and search at Bijoynagar near bridge and recovered and seized total 520 kg DRY ganja, as unclaimed. After that seized it after observing all legal formalities as unclaimed. And Sonamura police station has started an investigation as to who could be the owner of these illegal ganja. Destination of black market value of the seized ganja approx – 10,40,0000/-.
Interacted with media Inspector Tapas Das, Officer in Charge Sonamura Police Station gave details about this today. OC also stated that such operations against illegal contrabands would continue next day.
