Sonamura, Tripura, 14th of April 2026 : Sonamura Police during patrolling duty recovered and seized 10,000 nos Yaba Tablets, weight-1 Kg into 50 pouches, as unclaimed at Srimantapur border road, Sonamura under Sepahijala District on Monday (13th April, 2026).

According to sources, Sonamura Police recovered and seized total 10,000 nos Yaba Tablets, weight-1 Kg into 50 pouches. After that seized it after observing all legal formalities as unclaimed. And Sonamura police station has started an investigation as to who could be the owner of these illegal Yaba Tablets.
The destination market value of the seized Yaba Tablets is approximately to be5 Lakh only.

Interacted with media Inspector Tapas Das, Officer in Charge Sonamura Police Station said that Sonamura police has started an investigation as to who could be the owner of these illegal Yaba Tablets. OC also stated that such operations against illegal contrabands would continue next day.
