Special Campaign On Viksit Bharat Held At Nalchar In Sepahijala.

Agartala, Tripura, 7th of March, 2025 : A special awareness campaign on the ideal of Viksit Bharat was held today, March 6 at Shivnagar Community Hall, Nalchar Block under Sipahijala district. The program, organised by the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC) under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, featured seminar on various topics including Swachhta Bharat Abhiyan, Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam, Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, Mission Life, Women Empowerment and Atmanirbhar Bharat.

The event started with planting saplings of different species of trees and a cleanliness drive. People led by the Chairman of Block Panchayat Samiti, BDO of the Nalchar RD block, doctors of the health centre, members of Panchayat joined the drive in planting tree sapling and cleanliness drive, in order to propagate the idea of clean and green habitation and society and also conservation of ecology and environment.

Later in the seminar, citizens from different parts of the panchayat area, teachers, officials of the panchayat and block administration, women from self-help groups and students participated in the discussion program.

The programme was inaugurated by Shri Swapan Kumar Das, Chairman, Nalchar Panchayat Samiti. He urged everyone to plant trees for protection of nature and discussed how nature and trees continue to nourish our environment, rivers, water and soil and human life. At the same time, he expressed concern over the high rate of child marriage and urged parents to be aware and take an effective role to prevent child marriage for good health of women and their child. He informed that special awareness programmes will be organized in future with Hindu and Muslim priests of the area so that they also play a positive role in preventing child marriage. He said the government is now emphasizing on women-led development along with women’s empowerment and self-reliance through different programs like SHG development.

In the program, Shri Subhasis Chanda, Deputy Director, Press Information Bureau, PIB and CBC, in his keynote address, highlighted key issues on making Viksit Bharat a reality by 2047. Amongst others, Shri Kunal Shinde, Assistant Director of Doordarshan News, Shri Surajit Sarkar, BDO of the block, Shri Arjun Das, medical officer, Smt Beauty Bhowmik, member of Nalchar Panchayat Samiti were present in the program. Shri Surajit Sarkar, BDO, emphasized upon 100 percent participation of people in the implementation of all development programs to build a developed panchayat, developed state and developed India by 2047. Smt Ruma Sharma, Mission Coordinator, Aajeevika Mission or TRLM gave a detailed presentation on the progress made and motivational stories of women to come forward to expand their livelihood opportunities.

On the occasion, the “Didis” of various SHGs shared their stories of financial and social success of their groups. In the final round of the event, an open quiz competition was held, evoking widespread enthusiasm among the participants. Women from self-help groups in the area, school students and local residents actively participated in the discussion.
