State Government Of Tripura Launches Everyday Midday Meal To Patient Parties At Rs 10/-.

Agartala, Tripura, 31st of March 2025 : With the initiative of Health Welfare Department Government of Tripura, Rogi Kalyan Samity, AGMC & GBP Hospital and Rotary Club, Agartala providing everyday midday meal to patient parties at Rs 10/- at Agartala Government Medical College and Govind Ballabh Pant Hospital (AGMC & GBP), Agartala, Tripura. In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha inaugurated the events today (31st March, 2025).

Addressing at the launching ceremony Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha  said that the state government is working for the welfare of the people under the guidance of the Prime Minister of the country. In this program, launched from today as a Health Welfare Department Government of Tripura, Rogi Kalyan Samity, AGMC & GBP Hospital and Rotary Club, Agartala patients parties will be provided with lunch every day for just Rs. 10. This initiative is undoubtedly a significant step for the welfare of the people.

The Chief Minister thanked the Health Welfare Department Rogi Kalyan Samity, AGMC & GBP Hospital and Rotary Club, Agartala for launching this program at GBP Hospital. The Chief Minister said that in this year’s state budget, the government has also made provision for setting up Bharat Mata Canteen and Night Shelter, so that the attendants of patients coming to Agartala from far away for treatment can stay overnight and eat food at a low cost.

Amidst the distinguished dignitaries participants there were  Kiran Gitte, IAS, Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Department , Dr.Sanjib Kumar Debbarma, Director of Health Services, Hara Prashad Sharma, Director of Medical Education,GBP, Dr. Sankar Chakraborty, Medical Superintendent of the Agartala Medical College and GBP Hospital, Deputy Medical Superintendent Dr Kanak Chowdhury and and may other distinguished dignitaries were present in the inaugural ceremony.
