Dharmanagar, Tripura, 28th of June 2026 : A bicycle distribution programme was organized on Saturday at Saraspur Amtila Vinanjappa Higher Secondary School under Kadamtala Block in North Tripura. As part of the State Government’s initiative to strengthen the education sector, bicycles were distributed among selected students of the 2023–24 and 2024–25 academic sessions.

According to the school authorities, the primary objective of the initiative is to make commuting easier for students from remote areas, improve school attendance, and encourage them to continue their education. The programme at Vinanjappa Higher Secondary School was part of the statewide bicycle distribution campaign.
The event was attended by Teacher- in-Charge Abhijit Chakraborty, teachers of the school, Gram Panchayat Pradhan Aparna Malakar, social worker and School Management Committee (SMC) member Parimal Chandra Nath, SMC members Rita Ghosh and Pradip Chand, Gram Panchayat Deputy Pradhan Dilip Goswami, along with several other local dignitaries.
Addressing the gathering, the guests said that the State Government’s bicycle distribution scheme plays a vital role in encouraging students to pursue their education and ensuring regular school attendance, particularly among those from rural areas.Teacher -in-Charge Abhijit Chakraborty stated that bicycles were distributed to eligible students from the 2023–24 and 2024–25 academic sessions. He expressed hope that the bicycles would help students attend school more regularly and make their educational journey easier and more convenient.
The programme concluded on a joyful note, with students expressing their happiness after receiving their bicycles, their smiling faces reflecting the positive impact of the initiative.
