State Level Kaipeng RAI Festival 2025 Organized.                   

Amarpur, Tripura, 16th of February 2025 : With the initiative of society unit of KWS (Kaipeng Women Society) & KYA ((Kaipeng Youth Association) 97th Kaipeng RAI Kumvei State level festival 2025 has been organized here in Dhanlekha village under Ampi Nagar RD block in Gomati Tripura with great enthusiasm and zeal. On this three day long auspicious occasion a large number of Kaipeng people from all over Tripura have assembled here in the programme venue. Kaipeng social administrators and dignitaries as well as social administrators from other indigenous communities have taken active participation in the programme. In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries MLA Ram Pada Jamatia has inaugurated the programme.

Addressing the gathering MLA Ram Pada Jamatia has said, “Our indigenous costume, food, heritage, culture, religion faith must be protected and promoted for our next generation. Kaipeng tribe has their unique heritage, tradition, culture, religious faith and social administration procedure which are most essential for the national level identification for the Kaipeng tribe.”

As per the report, Kaipeng Rai used to choose every after one year but onwards now the Rai administration duration would be extended and his dominion will remain for three years constantly. After three years new Rai will be selected for the society. On the other hand, aiming to generate progress amidst deprived indigenous communities in cultural field MDC Shipsonlian Kaipeng has distributed musical instruments sets among different indigenous community teams such as Kaipeng community, Molsom community & Chorai community. Sources said, sound system set, Guitar and for organizing religious programme in village level musical instrument sets were distributed amidst them. To accelerate the festival more charming the organizer has disposed special Kaipeng community cultural event presentations which were appreciated by the audience.

Amongst the other dignitaries there were Sindhu Chandra Jamatia, Ampi BAC chairman, Dharmaraj Kaipeng, new Rai, Vanlalkhawm Kaipeng, GS, Kaipeng society, Hnam Kunga Darlong, DHI-GS and many others remained present in this programme.
