Stolen Again Daityeswari Kali Temple In Sabroom.

Sabroom, Tripura, 27th of December, 2024 : On Friday morning, the priest went to the Kali temple and found the door of the Kali temple broken. The Sabroom police station was immediately informed. The Sabroom police rushed to the spot and upon opening the door, it was found that various gold ornaments of Daityeswari were missing. The temple management committee reported that approximately 25 karat of gold ornaments, several silver ornaments, and cash worth around ₹20,000 were stolen. However, it is noteworthy that questions have been raised many times before in various media outlets about the safety of the gold ornaments of the Daityeswari Temple in Sabroom.

Even then, the people of Sabroom demanded that a trust be formed in the temple to keep these gold ornaments in the custody of the Sub-Divisional Magistrate & Collector of Sabroom or in a bank locker. But for some unknown reason, the temple management committee kept these gold ornaments in the temple without any security. The police have taken up a case in the theft of the gold ornaments of this temple and have been able to identify three notorious thieves from the CCTV cameras, but they have not been able to arrest them yet.
