Dharmanagar, Tripura, 4th of August, 2026 : Acting swiftly, Dharmanagar Police recovered a stolen motorcycle within hours of the theft and arrested one person in connection with the case. Legal proceedings have been initiated against the accused.
According to police sources, a Bajaj Pulsar 125 motorcycle bearing registration number TR05G5659, owned by Biswajit Paul, son of Benu Paul, a resident of Kameswar, was stolen on Sunday from the Dharmapur area of Montala in Dharmanagar.After the owner lodged an oral complaint at Dharmanagar Police Station in the evening, police launched an investigation under the leadership of Officer-in-Charge Meena Debbarma.

Based on the investigation, police recovered the stolen motorcycle from the Jail Road area and arrested a suspect identified as Nitu Das (35), son of Nihar Das, a resident of Kacharghat under Kailashahar subdivision in Unakoti district.A case has been registered at Dharmanagar Police Station as DMN PS Case No. 53/26 under Section 303(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023.
OC Meena Debbarma stated that appropriate legal action would be taken against the accused and that the investigation is continuing to determine whether any other individuals were involved in the theft.
