Kolkata, West Bengal, 8th of November, 2025 : The Institute of Leadership, Entrepreneurship & Development (iLEAD) successfully conducted its Student Council Elections 2025 on November 5, drawing a large number of students and staff to the polls. The event was held under the careful supervision of teachers and mentors, ensuring transparency, fairness and discipline throughout the process.

The elections were combined with a special awareness campaign on the country’s electoral system, a requirement under the National Accreditation & Assessment Council (NAAC) and the college’s own guidelines. Students were briefed on the voting procedure, the importance of informed decision‑making, and their constitutional responsibility as future voters. Many participants will be casting their first vote in upcoming national elections, and the campaign emphasized how to navigate the ballot responsibly. The elections served as a platform to promote electoral awareness and reinforce the constitutional responsibility of voting, inspiring students to actively engage in democratic practices. Guided by the faculty, the initiative aimed to help students understand the significance of informed decision-making and participatory leadership.

Beyond the contest of votes, the day reflected a strong spirit of camaraderie and unity, where students came together with mutual respect and enthusiasm. Participants adhered to all prescribed procedures, fostering an atmosphere of mutual respect and enthusiasm. The event reinforced iLEAD’s vision of developing leaders with empathy, responsibility, and vision – individuals who not only lead but also inspire positive change. iLEAD reaffirms its commitment to holistic education and the nurturing of ethical, community‑oriented leadership. The atmosphere on campus was charged with optimism and a collective goal of helping one another grow, learn, and excel.
