Agartala, 15th of January 2024 : On 15th Jan’ 2024, in the area of Border out post (BOP) Manoranjan under Chawmanu, Dhalai, three unlisted cadre of NLFT (BM) surrendered before BSF authorities. Today morning Mani Ranjan Tripura (28 yrs) @ Gondala S/o – Dahosa Tripura R/o- Rajendra Roaja Para, Ps- Manikpur, Distt-Dhalai, Chintajay Tripura(38yrs) S/o- Lt Dharma Jay Tripura, R/o – Bidhya kumar Roaja Para (Thalchera), Ps-Chawmanu, Distt- Dhalai and Raban Joy Tripura (28 yrs) S/o- Kemoni Tripura, R/o- Bidhya kumar Roaja Para (Thalchera) Ps-Chawmanu, Distt-Dhalai, decided to leave the path of violence and surrendered to live a normal life and to involve in the main stream of the nation. The surrendered insurgent Mani Ranjan Tripura joined NLFT (BM) outfit in the month of March 2023, Chintajay Tripura joined NLBT (BM) outfit in the month of April 2023 and Raban Joy Tripura jouinted NLFT(BM) outfit in the month of Dec 2023.
Tripura state has been insurgency prone for last few decades. Due to endeavour of central agencies and state authorities, in recent past, several cadres of NLFT (BM) opted to return back to the mainstream of the society. Such example will certainly motivate the misguided youths to leave the path of violence.
