Agartala, 7th of January 2024 : On 7th Jan’ 2024, in the area of Border out post (BOP) Manoranjan under Chawmanu, Dhalai, one unlisted cadre of NLFT (BM) surrendered before BSF authorities. In the wee hours of the day Uday Manik Jamatia , resident of village Tulsiram Bari, PS Killa, Gomati district, decided to leave the path of violence and surrendered to live a normal life and to involve in the main stream of the nation. The surrendered insurgent joined NLFT (BM) outfit in the month of September 2023.
Tripura state has been insurgency prone for last few decades. Due to endeavour of central agencies and state authorities, in recent past, several cadres of NLFT (BM) opted to return back to the mainstream of the society. Such example will certainly motivate the misguided youths to leave the path of violence.
