Agartala, Tripura, 29th of August, 2024 : Another (state) private university in Tripura, Techno India University, Tripura (TIUT), has received approval to offer legal education. The Bar Council of India has granted this recognition, allowing TIUT to confer law degrees to its students.
For the past 40 years, Techno India Group has been a leader in education in India and especially the eastern region. Over the past year, Techno India University Tripura has introduced new programmes in various fields of higher education. Aimed at expanding opportunities for higher education for the state’s students, the university has made various preferred and unique courses available in Tripura.
On Wednesday, the university received approval to offer legal education. From now on, Techno India University Tripura will offer a three-year LLB course and a five-year BA LLB (Honours) course. The approval was granted during a meeting of the Standing Committee on Legal Education of the Bar Council of India.
The approved programmes will each have an intake capacity of 60 students. Professor Dr. Ratan Kumar Saha, Vice-Chancellor of Techno India University Tripura, shared this important news in a press statement.
