Agartala, Tripura, 8th of September, 2025 : With the initiative of Tripura State Blood Transfusion Council Directorate of Family Welfare & Preventive Medicine, Govt. of Tripura organized the meeting on Intensifying Voluntary Blood Donation in Agartala Municipal Corporation Area at Agartala Town Hall, Agartala, Tripura on Monday (8th September, 2025). In the presence of many dignitaries Hon’ble Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation and MLA Dipak Majumder inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp.
Addressing at the meeting on Intensifying Voluntary Blood Donation Hon’ble Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation and MLA Dipak Majumder said that the need for blood is the most important in society. Therefore, should come forward to donate blood by maintaining continuity. He said that blood donation is the best religion of human society. In this, a blood relationship is established between the blood donor and the recipient. He also added that every club, social organization and youth of the city should be encouraged to donate blood. He also urged women to come forward more and more to donate blood.
Amidst the distinguished dignitaries there were, Pradip Chand, Zonal Chairman of the North Zone of Agartala Municipal Corporation, Mayor-in-council Hiralal Debnath, Mayor-in-council Bapi Das, Social activist Asim Bhattacharjee, Deputy Director of the Department of Family Welfare and Disease Prevention Dr. Subhasish Roy and many other distinguished dignitaries were present in the event.
