The Number Of MBBS Seats In Government Medical Colleges Increased 100 To 150.

Agartala, 30th of June, 2024 : The continuous efforts of the State Government to expand medical education in the state, The National Medical Commission (NMC) has increased the number of seats in the MBBS Under Graduate Course at Agartala Government Medical College (AGMC) in Tripura from the existing 100 to 150.

It will be effective from the current academic year. This increase in the number of seats is a significant event for our state, as it will fulfill the dream of the students of our state to become a doctor, as well as it will help the state government’s initiative to eliminate the shortage of doctors in the state. Under the directives of Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, Health and Family Welfare is working responsibly to provide quality medical services to the people of the state.

As a part of this, the State Government has consistently continued the process of recruiting doctors including super specialists. Besides, the State Government has continued its relentless efforts in increasing the opportunities for medical studies including MBBS, Post Graduate (PG).
