Thieves Attacked 5 Houses In Ghilatali In One Night.

Local villagers said that a group of thieves attacked five houses in Palpara village of Ghilatali village Panchayat under Kalyanpur police station and the slum of Manipuri in West Ghilatali village Panchayat area on the same night.

The Pradhan of Gram Panchayat said that the media after finishing the dinner and other activities like other days, they fell asleep around 10 pm. at about 1:30 a.m., he found the door and window of the house open (the window of the earthen house) and the contents of the house in disarray. When he realized the incident and called his son and neighbors, it became clear that the incident of theft had taken place.

Another villager Mrs. Biswas claimed that the thief took some papers from the trunk kept in her room and threw some clothes outside along with the remaining papers.  A group of thieves also attacked the house of Bijoy Debnath, S/o- Lt. Manoranjan Debnath, 20 to 30 meters away from the Pradhan’s house.

Villagers Bijoy said that the group of thieves entered his house in the same way through the window and left with the mobile phone of one of his close relatives (brother-in-law) and thousands of rupees in cash. According to the locals, such a theft has never happened in a populated area like Palpara.

On the other hand, the attack of a group of thieves on four houses in the Manipuri slum area of ​​West Ghilatali village Panchayat under the same police station has created an atmosphere of panic. The affected family members complaining that a group of thieves stole mobiles from someone’s house, some common items from someone’s house.

Although this matter has been attacked by a group of thieves, no large-scale theft has been organized, but the incidents of such thefts in populated areas like Palpara or West Ghilatali in Ghilatali are undoubtedly alarming. The house owners of the houses in West Ghilatali where the thefts took place are- 1) Ramen Debnath, S/O- Lt. Ramesh Debnath, 2) Digendra Debnath, S/O- Lt. Surendra Debnath, 3) Shyamal Debnath, S/O- Parimal Debnath.

What is to be seen now is how much positive role the police will take in the interest of the overall security of life and property of the common people of the area in the coming days. The police of Kalyanpur police station quickly rushed to the spot after receiving information about the incident and interacted to the affected family members and assured an investigation.
