Ampi, Tripura, 9th of August 2025 : Demanding immediate implementation of Village Council Election the TMP unit of Ampi nagar block has conducted mashal rally here in Ampi Nagar, Gomati Tripura today.
On this occasion a large number of indigenous people from different VCs have assembled here in Ampi TMP office premises and organized a huge mashal rally which has marched on Teliamura-Amarpur road in Ampi Nagar including market lanes. Through the international indigenous day celebration the TMP leaders have welcomed and good wished to each other. The rally has raised voice over the pending plight of the VC election which is disrupting the development of the people living in ADC areas. The indigenous communities have urged the concerned authority to take immediate initiative to implement VC election for the welfare of the indigenous communities of the ADC areas. Around one thousand men and women have taken active participation in the mashal rally.
Amidst the participant leaders there were Ampi Nagar block TMP committee president Sanjay Jamatia, 23 Ampi Nagar constituency MDC Sadagar Kalai, YTF president Debarshi Jamatia, social activist Deb Sadhan Jamatia, TWF president Kalija Kalai and many others remained present in the programme.
