Agartala, Tripura,1st of November, 2026 : A massive rally was organised by the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (I.N.D.I.A.) at Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi on Friday, (1st November, 2026 under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi.
The rally raised several demands, including the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and an inquiry into the allegations levelled against him, an end to the alleged deprivation of voting rights, the re-establishment of a neutral system for appointing Election Commissioners, and the withdrawal of what the organisers described as illegal lifetime immunity granted to Election Commissioners.
Congress leaders Tripura Pradesh Congress president Ashish Kumar Saha, MLA Sudip Roy Barman, Birajit Sinha and activists from Tripura also joined the INDIA alliance rally at Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi.
The event was also attended by Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Akhilesh Yadav and former Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge’s. The rally drew supporters and party workers from across the capital.
