Tripura Engineers Association Observers 57th Engineers’ Day.​

Agartala, Tripura, 15th of September, 2024 : With the initiative of Tripura  Engineers Association the 57th Engineers’ Day celebration has been conducted in Pragna Bhavan, Agartala on Sunday (15th September, 2024). In the presence of many dignitaries Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha inaugurated the ceremony by lighting the lamp. Observed the 57th Engineers’ Day celebration to marks birth anniversary of Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya with due respect and dignity.

Addressing the 57th Engineers’ Day celebration chief minister Dr. Manik Saha said, Engineers are constantly working for the overall development of the state by using their talent and innovative power. At present, development activities are continuing in the state. Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded the development of the state. And this is possible due to the efficiency of state engineers. He said, every year September 15 is celebrated as Engineer’s Day in our country to remember the of Bharat Ratna M. Visvesvaraya.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister also added that presently there are 6 National Highways in the State and 4 have been approved in principle. Everyone who travels to the state raves about Tripura’s remarkable development. Engineers play a significant role in this developmental and creative work across the State. The Chief Minister said that the students of the State who passed out from various engineering educational institutions including NIT, Polytechnic College are working with reputation not only in the State but also abroad.

The Government has given special importance to the infrastructural development of the State. The State budget has also increased the allocation of funds for the infrastructure development sector. Drone centers have also been opened in polytechnic colleges in the state. He said that the government has taken initiative to establish Tripura as an ideal and significant state not only in North Eastern region but also in the entire country.

Rajib Debbarma, Chief. Engineer (R&B) delivered the welcome speech on the occasion. Chief Secretary J.K. Sinha also spoke on the occasion. Special Secretary of School Education Raval Hamendra Kumar, Secretary of Rural Development Sandeep R. Rathod and many other dignitaries remained present in the programme.

On this auspicious occasion of the 57th Engineers Day celebrations, a blood donation camp was organized at The Institution of Engineers (India) (IEI), Tripura State Centre, Gurkhabasti, Agartala today. Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha and present guests paid floral tributes to Bharat Ratna M. Visvesvaraya.
