Agartala, Tripura, 13th of November, 2025 : On specific information of the Government Railway Police (GRP), Railway Protection Force (RPF) secret operation was launched in Agartala Railway Station on Thursday (13th November, 2025). According to the sources, RPF & GRP, arrested One (1) drug peddlers from Agartala Railway Station and seized a total of 2.610 Kg dry cannabis (Ganja). He wanted to take it to other state by train using Agartala railway station.
According to sources, GRP & RPF of Agartala at about 6 PM we managed to catch one person namely Sikandar Kumar (28), S/O- Lt. Umesh Saw of Hatiya, PO- Ghoshbari, PS- Bhaktiyarpur, Dist:- Patna, State- Bihar. During his RPF & GRP search recovered one bag from his possession which containing total 2.610 Kg purported to be contraband Ganja. The value of this Ganja is Rs- 30 to 40 thousand approx in black market. RPF & GRP arrested him from Agartala Railway station platform no-01 and seized the contraband Ganja. A specific case vide Agartala GRPS case no-2025GRP109, U/S-20(b)(ii)(B)/29 of NDPS Act-1985 has registered against him.
