Khowai, Tripura, 24th of September, 2024 : Two injured in separate road accidents. Two injured in two separate road accidents within half an hour. The incident happened on Tuesday (25th September) around 2:30 PM at National Highway, Dhlabil and National Highway, Chowmuhani, Mahadevtila under Khowai Police Station. In both the accidents, the cyclist was seriously injured.
According to the details of the incident, a person named Alak Das (46) of Khowai Dhlabil area was coming home on the National highway after cutting wood from the forest on a bicycle. At that time, a speeding car came and hit the cyclist. Alak Das was seriously injured after being hit by a car. The car ran away from the spot after hitting the cyclist.
Afterwards public informed the Khowai fire brigade personnel over this occurrence. The fire service personnel arrived on the spot, immediately rescued bike riders from the spot and brought him to Khowai District Hospital. The doctor on duty referred them to Agartala GB Hospital for better treatment.
On the other hand, a cyclist was injured after being hit by a Maruti car on National Highway Chowmuhani at Mahadevtila, Khowai. According to the sources a bicycle was riding from Subhashpark, Khowai to Laltila Chowmuhani. A speeding Maruti car hit the cyclist while crossing the road at Chowmuhani on the Mahadevtila National Highway. On receiving information, fire department personnel rescued from the spot and took them to several district hospitals.
