Union Minister Jual Oram Assured Full Support Of The Central Government For The Development Of Tribal Areas In Tripura : Tribal Welfare Minister Bikash Debbarma.

Agartala, Tripura, 7th of June, 2025 : Hon’ble Tribal Welfare, Handloom, Handicrafts & Sericulture, Statistics Minister Of Tripura Bikash Debbarma met with Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram in New Delhi on Thursday (5th June, 2025). The Tribal Welfare Minister returned to the state after an important meeting with Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram in New Delhi. Interacted with media after arriving at Agartala Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport, Minister B. Debbarma said that there were very fruitful discussions in Delhi focusing on the overall development of the tribal areas of Tripura.

The minister said that the meeting sought the central’s cooperation in several important areas including development of health infrastructure, expansion of education, provision of clean drinking water, electricity connection and development of road connectivity in tribal areas of the State. In view of all these demands, Union Minister Jual Oram assured that steps will be taken to implement the projects on priority basis as per the recommendations of the State Government. He said that the state government is always striving for the development of tribal areas. The main objective of our discussions in Delhi was to improve the quality of life of the people of these areas. The positive response received from the Centre has undoubtedly given us hope.

The Tribal Welfare Minister of Tripura also said that as a result of coordinated efforts between the State Government and the central, visible changes will be observed in the tribal-dominated areas of Tripura in the near future. With such assurances, new hope is arising in the hill towns. It seems that the path to liberation from the long-standing neglect and limited infrastructure is really becoming clear.
