Unknown Man’s Body Recovered From Drain At Dharmanagar District Hospital, Creates Sensation.

Dharmanagar, Tripura, 14th of August, 2026 : A sensation spread across the Dharmanagar District Hospital premises on Thursday afternoon after the body of an unidentified man, believed to be around 60–65 years old, was recovered from a drain inside the hospital compound.According to reports, at around 12 noon, several people arriving at the hospital noticed a man lying inside a drain on the hospital premises.

They immediately informed the hospital authorities, who subsequently alerted Dharmanagar Police Station.Police personnel soon reached the spot and recovered the man from the drain before taking him to the hospital. After examination, the attending doctor declared him dead.

Hospital sources said the deceased was approximately 60–65 years old, but his identity has not yet been established. It also remains unclear how he fell into the drain or what exactly caused his death.

Dharmanagar Police have launched an investigation into the incident. Efforts are underway to identify the deceased and determine the actual circumstances and cause of his death. The incident created temporary tension and concern on the Dharmanagar District Hospital premises.
