Villagers Demand Immediate Teachers In School.

Amarpur, Tripura, 21st of August, 2026 : Due to shortage of teachers Gamaku Bari High School under Ampi Nagar school inspectorate in Gomati Tripura is not running properly at all for last several years. As per the public report, the school has 65 students in morning section and 96 students in noon section but due to dearth of teachers teaching management in both sections are facing obstacle to maintain the school. Local people have alleged that the school does not have science, Bengali and math teachers to impart teaching over the subjects of mathematics, science & Bengali in both sections primary and high school.

Sources said, for not having proper school management even half of the Madhyamik candidates this year did not succeed in the board exam 2026. Total candidates had appeared in the exam. 25 but only 11 have been passed in this year as the deficiency of teachers the teaching quality is not appreciable for the students. Parents have accused the concerned school inspectorate stating that amidst the present minimum teachers some are engaged with BLO and census duties and in this circumstances students are being deprived from their fundamental education amenity availability.

According to the SMC committee, teachers requirment applications have been submitted to the concerned school inspectorate several times but due to negligence of the authority no initiative has been taken yet. As the classes of mathematics, Bengali and science are not available for the students in last two years in this school local indigenous parents have been found in great wrath over the concerned department. One of the local guardians said, “As the poor parents are not able to send their children to better school in far off places we are expecting to create a genuine and students favourable school in our area but the responsible education authority does not take any initiative to make the school better. After appealing again and again for maths, Bengali and science teachers the local guardians are in depression till the date.” The concerned education departmental officials must enquire the teachers status of the both sections of this school and take immediate initiative to fullfill the demand of the villagers.
