Agartala, Tripura, 31st of March 2025 : Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha Visit construction site of multi-storied office building at Gorkhabasti, Agartala, Tripura on Monday (31st March, 2025).

Interacting with media Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said that the construction work of this administrative building is being done using foreign technology. Since our state is in an earthquake-prone area, special emphasis has been given to earthquake-resistant systems in its construction The Chief Minister said that if this multi-storey administrative building is constructed, in addition to the various offices of the State Government located in Gurkhabasti, the offices of various departments in other places of Agartala will also be brought under one roof. The other old office spaces in Gurkhabasti can be used for other purposes in the future.

The Chief Minister said that this administrative building under construction will have all kinds of modern facilities. Apart from electricity, this building will have facilities for using solar power. This building also has a system for purifying and reusing waste water for gardening. The Chief Minister also added that there will be offices of different departments on each floor of this administrative building. All kinds of security measures will be available on the ground floor. The Chief Minister expressed hope that the construction of this building will be completed by December 2026. During the inspection of the construction work of the multi-storey administrative building were Kiran Gitte, IAS, Secretary, Public Works Department, Rajib Debbarma, Chief Engineer, PWD(R&B) and many other senior officers were present.
