Agartala, Tripura, 11th of May, 2025 : With the initiative of Sri Sri Ramthakur Seva Mandir conducted Voluntary Blood Donation Camp at Sri Sri Ramthakur Seva Mandir premises, Banamalipur, Agartala, Tripura on Sunday (11th May, 2025) on the occasion of the Tirodhan Tithi of late Mahant Maharaj Bhavatosh Banerjee of Kaivalya Dham. In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha inaugurated the Blood Donation Camp by lighting the lamp.

Addressing at inaugural ceremony of Voluntary Blood Donation Camp Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said that it is necessary to develop a sense of humanity in the children of our future generations. Not just exam marks, not career success, but let children develop a sense of humanity as craftsmen of human dignity. He said that a module of the curriculum has been prepared to instill a sense of humanity in children. The Chief Minister said that sometimes there is a shortage of blood in the state, but efforts are being made to meet the need. When there was a shortage in voluntary blood donation during COVID and elections, the people of the state were called upon to meet it. People have spontaneously come forward to address that shortage. The Chief Minister expressed the opinion that self-satisfaction comes through serving the people.

The Chief Minister also added that in the coming days, if the One Nation One Vote system is implemented, the administrative difficulties related to elections at different times will be eliminated. The Chief Minister called for raising awareness among the people about blood donation and especially to convey the message of social awareness to the youth. He said that the State needs about 40 thousand units of blood annually in proportion to the population. In the last financial year, about 42 thousand units of blood were collected in the State. The Chief Minister called on everyone to come forward and overcome the fear of blood donation. He highlighted the issues of various social activities at Sri Sri Ramthakur Seva Mandir, Banamalipur and he highly appreciated such social activities.

Swapan Kumar Banik Secretary of Sri Sri Ramthakur Seva Mandir delivered the welcome speech at the event. Amidst the distinguished dignitaries there were Chairman of the Advisory Committee & Chief Editor of Syandan Patrika & Syandan TV Subal Kumar Dey, Hon’ble Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) and MLA Dipak Majumder and many other dignitaries were present in the event.
