Agartala, Tripura, 6th of September, 2024 : We want justice – this is the most circulated slogan for months. These words have united thousands of people – men, women of all ages, from all professions across the country, even outside country. This cry for justice has almost touched the sky. The brutal incident at R. G. Kar hospital – rape and murder of the young lady doctor has actually murdered our faith. Our belief that a hospital is the safest place for our well being ,our trust on doctors who are almost God for the ailing people, trust on friends, trust on colleagues – everything is in doubt.

But now we want to come out from this constant fear that has imprisoned us. It seems we have no right to move around freely. After 77 years of independence we are still living at the mercy of others. But no more – no more of this helplessness, no more fear, no more insults, no more physical assaults, no rape, no murder! Each and every criminal should be punished.
We want justice for every crime against women.
