Agartala, Tripura, 29th of June, 2025 : West Tripura District Magistrate and Collector of Dr. Vishal Kumar attend a Sensitization Programme on reported diseases at near Gita Mandir complex , AMC Ward No.32, Masterpara, Agartala, Tripura on Sunday (29th June, 2025).
West Tripura District Magistrate and Collector of Dr. Vishal Kumar exchanged views with the people of the area regarding the emerging situation. He inquired about the steps taken by the Health Department, Drinking Water and Sanitation Department and Agartala Municipal Corporation to combat jaundice.
West Tripura District Magistrate and Collector directed the concerned officials to repair the drinking water pipelines in the concerned areas, install new pipes as needed, and re-test the water in the drinking water overhead tanks and underground tanks. He directed the health department to collect the reports of the patients and provide the necessary medicines on time. He advised the locals to boil water and drink it. The District Magistrate also exchanged views with the patients suffering from jaundice and their families.
Amidst the distinguished dignitaries participants there Councilor of Ward No. 32 of Agartala Municipal Corporation Shilpi Sen, Chief Health Officer of West Tripura District Ranjit Biswas, Assistant Municipal Commissioner of Central Zone of Agartala Municipal Corporation Rameshwar Bhattacharya, Executive Engineer of Division One of the Drinking Water and Sanitation Department Gopi Majumdar, Deputy Collector of Sadar Sub-division Subarna Murasingh, senior official of various department were resent.
