Hyderabad, Telangana, 25th of September, 2026 : From Hyderabad to Lesotho, young learners are proving that meaningful change can begin with a simple idea—and grow through collaboration.
Students from Grades 3 to 8 at Meridian School, Kukatpally, joined learners from Soofia International School, Lesotho, for an inspiring international exchange titled “Eco-Entrepreneurs and Equal Voices – Digital Quilt.”
Designed to encourage creativity, empathy and responsible action, the programme connected students across continents through shared learning and purpose. Together, they explored how entrepreneurship can address real environmental challenges and create positive change within communities.
The young eco-innovators presented sustainable solutions, discovering that caring for the planet is closely connected to innovation, problem-solving and leadership. Their ideas demonstrated that environmental responsibility is not merely a global concern—it is also an opportunity for young people to imagine and build a better future.
Through the Digital Quilt platform, students also shared their cultures, identities and dreams. Each contribution became part of a larger picture celebrating diversity, equal opportunity and the belief that every voice matters.
As the students interacted beyond geographical boundaries, they exchanged questions, perspectives and experiences. These conversations helped them recognise that creativity, compassion and responsibility are universal values capable of connecting communities across vast distances.
The initiative also introduced students to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly:
SDG 4: Quality Education
SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities
SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production
SDG 13: Climate Action
SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals
The collaboration will culminate in three meaningful outcomes: an India–Lesotho Eco-Business Canvas, a Digital Diversity Quilt and an Equal Chances Pledge. Together, these will symbolise the students’ shared commitment to a greener, fairer and more inclusive world.
Conducted under the visionary guidance of Principal Ms Aakrusha L. Bellaney, the initiative brought Meridian School’s ethos—“Connecting the Mind and Heart”—to life. It transformed classroom learning into cross-cultural understanding and empowered students to become thoughtful global citizens and changemakers.
