Sabroom, Tripura, 6th of July, 2025 : According to report, Several months ago, a private company namely Devi Engineering And Constructions Pvt Ltd, Hyderabad, won a tender from ONGC to explore for natural gas in various parts of the South districts of the State. And the owner of that private company namely Devi Engineering And Constructions Pvt Ltd, is the Gangadhar Rao. Having come to work, has set up an office room in the Thailik Taisa community hall in the Kalachhara market premises. Gangadhar Rao owner of the Devi Engineering And Constructions Private Limited, masterminded a master plan to cheat various types of workers. And a few months ago, he had stopped the company from working without paying wages to a large number of workers.
Niren Kumar Tripura, a resident of Jamin Chandra Para, East Sabroom ADC Village under Rupaichari R.D. Block, was working on a dynamite explosion cable at the Devi Engineering And Constructions Private Limited Company about 20-21 days ago when parts of the dynamite explosion device got stuck in his left leg. Currently, Niren Tripura’s left leg is rotting and has worms. The injured Niren Tripura said that out of the last ten days of work, the fraudulent company had given him only four days’ pay.
Meanwhile, Bijli Tripura, the wife of the Niren Tripura, said that she has to spend her days without food and sleep with two childs (one son and one daughter). Due to financial hardship, her husband Niren Tripura is unable to get treatment for him. It is far from the fact that the Devi Engineering Private Limited company has not come to see the injured Niren Tripura even once! They did not even take notice. The worker has rotted and worms in his feet, and the pain has made him restless. On Sunday, July 6, at around 1 pm, Niren Tripura’s wife and the people of the area complained and asked how they would take the injured Niren Tripura to the hospital for treatment.
The injured Niren Tripura will die if he does not get immediate government help, the people of the area and their family members believe. Now it is to be seen how much help the administration will extend to the poor Niren Tripura after this news is broadcast. And what action will be taken against the Gangadhar Rao, a private company from outside the state, namely from Hyderabad, Devi Engineering Private Limited. There is a rumor among the people of the area that if any kind of disaster happens to Niren Tripura, who will take the responsibility? However, according to the government rules, workers’ insurance is mandatory if the workers go to work in such a company, but for some unknown reason, the workers have not been insured.
