Hyderabad, Telangana, 27th of September, 2026 : The distinctive roar of 100 Bullet motorcycles carried an important message for healthier hearts across Hyderabad as Aster Prime Hospital, in association with Wanderers Bulleters Hyderabad, organised the ‘World Heart BIKE-E-THON’, a15-km heart health awareness ride ahead of World Heart Day.
The initiative brought together 100 riders, senior cardiologists, other senior doctors, hospital leadership and staff to take the message of preventive heart health beyond the hospital and into the community. The World Heart BIKE-E-THON encouraged people to stay physically active, understand cardiovascular risk factors, adopt healthier lifestyles and seek timely medical attention rather than waiting for symptoms to appear.
The ride began at Aster Prime Hospital and passed through Moosapet, Kukatpally Y Junction, Narsapur Cross Road and Balkampet before returning to the hospital. The sight of 100 Bullet riders travelling together through the city provided a strong visual reminder that protecting heart health requires consistent attention and action.
The event was attended by Dr Hari Kumar Reddy, CEO, Aster Prime Hospital; Dr Sai Ravi Shankar, HOD & Sr Consultant – Cardiology; Dr. Lanka Satyarama Krishna, Senior Consultant – Interventional Cardiologist; Mr Anil Ravuri; and Mr Lalit Jain, Founder, Wanderers Bulleters Hyderabad, along with senior doctors, hospital staff and members of the riding community.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Hari Kumar Reddy, CEO, Aster Prime Hospital, said, “Heart health awareness needs to go beyond hospitals and become part of everyday conversations in our communities. Bringing doctors, hospital teams and 100 riders together is an effective way of taking this message to a wider audience. Prevention begins with simple but consistent actions — staying active, eating healthy, managing stress, avoiding tobacco, undergoing regular health checks and seeking medical attention at the right time.”

Highlighting the importance of identifying cardiovascular risks early, Dr Sai Ravi Shankar, HOD & Sr Consultant – Cardiology, said, “Heart disease does not always announce itself with obvious symptoms. High blood pressure, diabetes and high cholesterol can remain unnoticed for years while increasing cardiovascular risk. People should know their numbers, understand their individual risk factors and not wait for chest pain before they start thinking seriously about their heart health.”
Dr. Lanka Satyarama Krishna, Senior Consultant – Interventional Cardiologist stressed that warning signs of a possible heart attack should never be ignored. “Chest pain or pressure, unexplained breathlessness, excessive sweating, sudden weakness or discomfort spreading to the arm or jaw require attention. Particularly for people with diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, a history of smoking or a family history of heart disease, timely medical attention can be critical,” he said.
The awareness ride also highlighted an interesting connection between the heart and the legendary Bullet motorcycle — both associated with strength, endurance and the ability to keep going. Doctors pointed out that people routinely maintain their vehicles to prevent breakdowns, while preventive attention to their own health is often postponed.
“We don’t wait for a motorcycle to break down before taking care of it. Our heart deserves the same preventive attention,” was one of the key messages highlighted through the initiative.
Mr Anil Ravuri and Mr Lalit Jain, Founder, Wanderers Bulleters Hyderabad, said the riding community was proud to use its passion for motorcycles for a larger social purpose. They noted that riders understand the importance of regular maintenance and preparedness, and the same principle applies to personal health — taking care of it before a problem develops.
Held ahead of World Heart Day on September 29, the 15-km ride reinforced a simple message for the public: protecting the heart begins long before an emergency. Staying active, knowing key health numbers, managing stress, avoiding tobacco, making healthier food choices and paying attention to warning signs can all contribute to better cardiovascular health.
