250 Students From 17 Schools Showcase AI-Powered Solutions At BML Munjal University’s Sync-Hack 2026.

Hyderabad, Telangana, 25th of July, 2026 : BML Munjal University (BMU), in collaboration with Ganges Valley School as the Knowledge Partner, organised the 2nd Inter-School Sync-Hack 2026: AI-Powered IoT Battle in Hyderabad. Students from Classes IX to XII, representing 17 schools, participated and presented projects built around Artificial Intelligence, the Internet of Things (IoT), Machine Learning, and Automation.

The competition recognised outstanding teams across multiple categories for their innovative thinking and problem-solving abilities. Page Junior College received the award for Excellence in Problem Identification, Ganges Valley School was recognised for the Best Solution, Unicent School, Bachupally won the Best Research award, and Mount Carmel Global School was named the Best Emerging Team. Winners across the competition categories received awards and certificates, along with exclusive BMU scholarships for eligible B.Tech programmes.

Student teams developed AI and IoT-based solutions addressing challenges in healthcare, smart cities, mobility, agriculture, industrial automation, retail and energy management. Projects were assessed across three categories: Excellence in Problem Identification, Outstanding Research, and Best Solution, based on the relevance of the challenge identified, quality of research and practicality of the proposed solution.

Highlighting the importance of experiential learning and innovation, Dr Maneek Kumar, Dean, School of Engineering & Technology, BML Munjal University, said, “The technologies shaping the future today are no longer confined to experimenting in laboratory spaces or in the industry thought arenas, they are out there inspiring young students to think, innovate and solve the ‘real’ problems. Through Sync-Hack, we aspire to provide these school students with an opportunity to move beyond theory and apply the principles of AI, IoT and automation to real-world situations. The quality of ideas presented herein reflect the curiosity, creativity and problem-solving mindset that is essential for the next generation of engineers, innovators and technology leaders.”

Commenting ahead of the event, Dr. Emmadi Naveen Kumar, Principal, Ganges Valley School, said, “At Ganges Valley School, we believe meaningful learning happens when students apply classroom knowledge to real-world challenges. Sync-Hack provides an ideal platform for young innovators to explore emerging technologies, collaborate with peers and develop practical solutions. We are pleased to partner with BML Munjal University in nurturing the curiosity, creativity and problem-solving skills that will shape tomorrow’s technology leaders.”

Projects were evaluated by faculty members from BMU’s School of Engineering & Technology alongside industry professionals, including an IBM engineer and BMU alumnus. All participants and mentors received certificates. The event concluded with project presentations and the recognition of teams across the three competition categories.

Beyond the competition, the programme offered students hands-on exposure to emerging technologies while strengthening teamwork, communication, leadership and presentation skills through collaborative problem-solving, reflecting the shared emphasis of BML Munjal University and Ganges Valley School on experiential learning.
