38-Year-Old Man Found Hanging In North Chebri, Khowai,  Grief Sweeps Through The Area.

Khowai, Tripura, 28th of October, 2026 : An incident of unnatural death has triggered shock and grief in the North Chebri area under Khowai District on Tuesday (27th October, 2026) night. The deceased has been identified as Jadu Moni Das, aged 38. Local residents reportedly found him hanging inside his own room. The tragic incident has cast a pall of gloom over the entire North Chebri locality.

According to details of the incident, Jadu Moni Das went to sleep in his room Monday night. However, as the door of his room remained closed throughout the day, local residents grew suspicious. Later, in the afternoon, some residents looked inside through a window and found him hanging inside the room.

Upon discovering the incident, residents immediately informed the police at Khowai Police Station. Police personnel rushed to the spot following the report. The body was subsequently recovered and taken to Khowai District Hospital.

The tragic death of 38-year-old Jadu Moni Das has left the North Chebri area in mourning. However, the circumstances that led to the incident remain unclear. Local residents are awaiting the outcome of the police investigation to determine the actual cause of the death.
