Under able guidance of Sh.Subrat Kumar Mishra, IGP Tripura Sector, 71 Bn CRPF organized a volley ball tournament at unit Hqr location in Khumulwng under Jirania Distt. West Tripura today. It has been conducted under civic action programme- 2023. Sh. Ram Palat, (Commandant-71 Bn CRPF) welcomed the participating teams and invited all players to maintain a healthy and competitive spirit in sports and also in other aspects of life as well. Speaking on the occasion he said that it is an endeavor of CRPF to serve the people of the country through public friendly and sensitive policing.
Civic Action programme are being organized to foster good relationship with the local people. The event witnessed a huge gathering of locals of the area participating teams/college students. The aim of organizing sports events was to provide opportunities to the youth of far flung areas to display their talent in the field of sports. In all 05 teams participated in the game, two women teams from Khumulwng degree college, one team from Khamarbari, one team from Chakmaghat and one team from CRPF.
All the participating teams excluding CRPF were provided with sports gears. Smt. Maharani Hrangkhawl, Lecturer along with college students and unit officers & personnel were present in the programme. The general public & civil administrative praised and welcomed the noble effort taken by CRPF for its generous social initiative and support in cementing police public cooperation.
