Amarpur, Tripura, 19th of November 2025. With the initiative of Ompi Agri. Subdivision a piglets distribution programme has been conducted here in Ompi SA office premises in Gomati Tripura today.
On this occasion a large number of oil palm farmer beneficiaries from different VCs under Ompi Nagar block have assembled here in the programme. In presence many programme participants Ompi block BAC chairman Sindhu Chandra Jamatia has Inaugurated the event. Under the scheme of NMEO-OP (RED OIL PALM) 95 beneficiaries from 5 VCs were provided piglets through this programme. Aiming to boost the family financial stability of those oil palm beneficiaries of the block department of agriculture and farmers welfare have provided big sized white piglet to these beneficiaries.
Addressing the farmer beneficiaries Ompi SA Nibash Debbarma has motivated the farmers over the piggery project and given them good tips regarding the better pig farming management in scientific procedure. He has instructed all present farmer beneficiaries to take proper care of their piglets and feed them on time to maintain suitable growth.
Amidst the other programme participants there were Ompi block kishan morcha president Ashim Kalai, Dr. Lampra Debbarma, veterinary officer, Santanu Das, sector officer and many others remained present in the programme.
