Muslim Women Intellectual Conference on ‘Viksit Bharat & Mission 2047’ Concludes at IIC, New Delhi.

Mumbai, Maharashtra, 4th of February, 2026 : The Muslim Women Intellectual Conference on the theme “Viksit Bharat & Mission 2047” was successfully held today at Conference Hall–1, India International Centre (IIC), New Delhi. The conference brought together women academics, intellectuals, educators, media professionals and social leaders to deliberate on the role of Muslim women in shaping India’s journey towards becoming a developed nation by 2047.

The conference was chaired by Dr. Indresh Kumar, Margdarshak, Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM). In his presidential address, Dr. Kumar emphasized unity, character-based education, inclusive development and women’s leadership as the cornerstones of nation-building.

He stated, “Viksit Bharat is not built merely through infrastructure, but through educated and morally grounded citizens. The real question is not what someone says, but what they learn, how they earn their livelihood, and what is happening at the grassroots. Education must promote love, brotherhood and human values, not hatred. Character is the true foundation of a developed India.”

Reflecting the spirit of “One Nation, One Homeland – Hindustan,” the conference stressed collective participation of all communities in achieving the goals of Mission 2047. Dr. Kumar highlighted education, social harmony and sustained intellectual dialogue as key pillars for realizing the vision of a developed India.

Addressing the gathering, Ms. Shalini Ali, National Convener, Muslim Rashtriya Manch, spoke about the rising aspirations, leadership potential and social responsibility of Muslim women. She underlined their growing contribution in education, community transformation and nation-building.

Echoing these views, Dr. Shahid Akhtar, National Convener, Muslim Rashtriya Manch, stated that the success of Mission 2047 depends on constructive participation from every section of society. He emphasized that Muslim women, through intellectual engagement and social leadership, can play a decisive role in building a strong, self-reliant and inclusive India.

Speaking at the conference, Ms. Sabiha Ahmed, Member, Central Sunni Waqf Board, described the event as historic and mission-driven. She stressed the importance of clarity of purpose, commitment and women-centric initiatives such as “Rising Beyond the Well,” which empower Muslim women to actively contribute to national development.

Presenting a media and social perspective, Ms. Nagma Sahar, Anchor, NDTV, highlighted confidence, fair media representation and mainstream participation as key pillars of women’s empowerment. She emphasized that Muslim women should not be confined to narrow identities, but recognized as equal citizens and nation-builders.

The conference featured in-depth discussions on education, economic participation, women’s leadership, media representation and social harmony. Speakers unanimously emphasized that Muslim women are not merely beneficiaries of development, but active drivers of India’s inclusive growth journey.

The conference concluded with a collective resolve to strengthen intellectual platforms, promote women’s leadership and advance collaborative efforts towards the shared national goal of building a developed, inclusive and united India by 2047.
