Dharmanagar, Tripura, 19th of July 2026 : A video alleging that water was being mixed with petrol at M/s P.C. Ray Choudhury & Sons Petrol Pump in the Rajbari area of Dharmanagar has gone viral on social media, causing concern among local residents.
Following the circulation of the video, members of the media visited the petrol pump to verify the claims and spoke with the management and employees. During the interaction, petrol pump employee Rathindra Pal dismissed the allegations as completely baseless and misleading.
According to Rathindra Pal, the quality of fuel supplied at the petrol pump is regularly tested and maintained in accordance with the prescribed standards before being delivered to customers. He stated that the allegations made in the viral video have no factual basis and urged the public not to be misled by unverified claims circulating on social media.
Journalists also gathered detailed information from the petrol pump staff regarding the incident. Meanwhile, members of the public have advised people not to believe or share information circulating on social media without first verifying its authenticity.
