Agartala, Tripura, 10th of February, 2026 : A state-level team of sectoral specialists under the Tripura Rural Economic Growth and Service Delivery Project (TRESP) carried out a series of block-wise review meetings and field visits across North Tripura district to assess progress, address operational issues, and fine-tune action plans for effective implementation of project activities. The team comprising Smt. Sonali Laskar (IBSI Specialist), Dr. Joydeb Majumder (Livestock Specialist), Shri Bishorjit Hijam (Fisheries Specialist), and Shri Subrata Shib (Agriculture/Horticulture Specialist) began their visit with a review meeting at Pecharthal R.D. Block, followed by field inspections, in the presence of the Block Development Officer, district TRESP officials, TSA representatives, and Community Resource Persons. A subsequent review meeting was held at Laljuri R.D. Block on the same day.

On 6 February 2026, a block-level review meeting was conducted at Dasda R.D. Block, attended by Livelihood Specialists from the PMU TRESP along with officials from DPMU, BPMU, BMMU, TSA functionaries, and CRP Didis. The BDO, Dasda also participated and addressed the gathering. On 7 February 2026, the team visited Jampui Hill R.D. Block, where the review meeting was attended by the BDO-in-Charge, district and block TRESP officials, TRLM block officials, TSAs, CSPs, and beneficiary members from Producer Groups. During the interactions, issues related to adoption of recommended practices, seasonal planning, marketing support, value chain development, processing facilities—particularly for ginger—and expediting pending payments to CSP Didis were discussed, while visits to prospective Lead Producer Groups for establishment of Custom Hiring Centres were also undertaken.

The review meetings and field visits helped in clearing doubts of field functionaries, especially CRP Didis, and strengthened coordination among all stakeholders, which is expected to significantly improve on-ground implementation of TRESP activities. The visit also provided valuable micro-level insights to the state team, which will contribute to policy refinement and future planning under the World Bank–funded project. Such state-led review visits are expected to continue on a regular basis across districts and blocks, ensuring sustained handholding, responsive decision-making, and effective delivery of livelihood interventions under TRESP.
