Mumbai, Maharashtra, 12th of February, 2026 : A special moment was etched on the sacred and historic land of the Magh Mela as the trailer of Kumbh viral sensation Monalisa’s debut film “The Diary of Manipur” was launched in Sangam city, Prayagraj. Although administrative permission prevented the event from being held within the Mela premises, the launch at a prominent city hotel was nothing short of celebratory. Amid the grandeur of a globally recognized spiritual gathering like the Magh Mela, the trailer launch gained a historic aura and provided a wide platform for the film’s message.

The film was conceptualized and initiated with the inspiration of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. During the Manipur shooting schedule, the support of former Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh proved significant. Given the sensitive subject of the film, the state government extended cooperation at every level, ensuring smooth completion of the schedule.

In Uttarakhand as well, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami extended full support to the team despite challenging weather conditions and personally launched the film’s first poster, encouraging the entire crew. At the trailer launch, Monalisa appeared visibly emotional. She said, “With the blessings of Maa Ganga, my life changed at this very Magh Mela last year. Now, after completing the film, launching its trailer here is an extremely emotional and proud moment for me.”

Prayagraj-based actor Abhishek Tripathi described the launch in his hometown during the Magh Mela as deeply special. Actor Amit Rao called “The Diary of Manipur” not just a film but “an experience,” while actor Dinesh Trivedi emphasized that the support received from various states has strengthened the film further.
