Agartala, Tripura, 14th of February, 2026 : On the occasion of International Day of Women in Science, Assam Rifles organised a felicitation ceremony at multiple schools to recognise and encourage girl students excelling in science subjects. The events were conducted at five schools, to include Fatikroy Govt Higher Secondary School, Kumarghat Girl’s Higher Secondary School, Holy Cross School, Fatikroy Girl’s High School and Ambedkar College, where meritorious girl students were honoured for their academic performance in science.
Assam Rifles personnel interacted with students and highlighted the importance of scientific education, innovation and research in nation-building, while encouraging girls to pursue careers in science, technology and related fields. The initiative aimed to promote gender equality in scientific education by motivating girls.
Through this outreach, Assam Rifles reaffirmed its commitment towards women empowerment, youth motivation and community engagement through educational initiatives.
