Mumbai, Maharashtra, 18th of February, 2026 : The city of Mumbai was illuminated with profound spiritual energy as the grand “Sanyam Rang Utsav” Diksha Mahotsav unfolded in a remarkable display of renunciation, discipline, and devotion. In a historic spiritual milestone, 64 mumukshus (spiritual aspirants) embraced the path of ascetic life, renouncing worldly attachments and embarking on a new journey of self-realization and inner awakening.

On this significant occasion, Gujarat’s Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Harsh Sanghavi graced the ceremony with his presence, adding dignity and prominence to the event. During the program, he sought the blessings of revered Jain Acharya Yogtilaksurishwarji Maharaj, expressing deep reverence and admiration for the Jain tradition of penance, sacrifice, and self-restraint.

Shri Sanghavi highlighted that the principles of austerity and discipline in Jainism represent an invaluable part of India’s cultural heritage. He remarked that such spiritual gatherings not only awaken inner consciousness but also guide society toward ethical values, peace, and moral strength.

The Diksha ceremony witnessed an emotionally charged yet spiritually uplifting atmosphere as 64 initiates formally renounced worldly life to adopt the path of sanyam (self-restraint). Families present at the ceremony were moved to tears — not merely of separation, but of pride and spiritual fulfillment. Shri Harsh Sanghavi personally met the newly initiated ascetics, commending their courage and unwavering resolve. He extended heartfelt wishes for their bright spiritual future and noted that such acts of renunciation serve as powerful inspiration for society.

It is noteworthy that Surat, the constituency from which Shri Sanghavi was elected as a public representative, has witnessed several historic mass Diksha ceremonies under the sacred guidance of Pujya Gurudev over the past decade — with remarkable counts of 7, 45, 36, 18, and 74 initiations in different events.

These extraordinary milestones have earned Surat a distinguished identity as a “Diksha Bhoomi” both nationally and internationally.

At a time when material pursuits dominate modern life, events like the Sanyam Rang Utsav gently remind society to return to introspection, discipline, and spiritual awareness.

The Mahotsav in Mumbai was not merely a religious ceremony — it emerged as a grand festival of spiritual awakening, where the glow of faith shone brighter through the fire of renunciation.
