Dharmanagar, Tripura, 26th of February, 2026 : With the objective of raising social awareness against drug abuse and building a healthy, addiction-free society, the North Tripura District Police successfully organized the “Run for Nasha Mukt Tripura” program. The special awareness run witnessed enthusiastic participation and high spirits among the participants.Present at the program were Additional Superintendent of Police (North District) Kamal Debbarma and other senior police officials.
TSR jawans, district police personnel, and students from various schools actively participated, contributing to the success of the initiative.Before the flag-off, police officials delivered brief speeches emphasizing the harmful effects of drug abuse. They stated that drugs not only destroy an individual’s life but also devastate families and society as a whole. Therefore, building a drug-free Tripura requires a collective effort from both the administration and the general public.
The enthusiastic participation of students added vibrancy to the event. Holding awareness placards and raising slogans, they spread strong anti-drug messages throughout the community. A pledge against drug abuse was also administered by the police during the program.This initiative by the North Tripura District Police has received a positive response from the public. According to the administration, such awareness programs will continue in the future to keep the youth away from the clutches of drugs and to build a healthy, conscious, and addiction-free Tripura.
