Mumbai, April 08, 2026: Amid rising geopolitical uncertainty and continued disruptions in global fossil fuel supply chains, Avaada Group, one of India’s leading integrated clean energy companies, today announced the next phase of its ‘Infinite Clean Energy’ campaign. India, which is largely dependent on imported crude oil, has been promoting electric mobility to reduce its dependence on fossil fuels, bring down air pollution and GHG (Green House Gases) emission so as to meet its climate commitments. Accelerating EV adoption leading to surge in electricity demand

Going by the current trends of energy consumption, the country would require roughly 200 MTOE of energy supply every year to meet the demand of the transport sector. A majority of this demand is currently met through imported crude oil.

As EV adoption accelerates, it is expected to significantly increase electricity demand, placing new pressures on existing power infrastructure. Avaada’s approach addresses this challenge by aligning clean energy generation with future mobility needs, supporting the growth of electric vehicles while reducing reliance on fossil fuel imports and exposure to supply chain disruptions.
