Health Secretary Visits Dharmanagar District Hospital, Assures Improved Healthcare Services.

Dharmanagar, Tripura, 7th of June 2026 : Following a series of reports published in various media outlets regarding the much -discussed Dharmanagar District Hospital in North Tripura, the Health Department has taken active notice of the situation. On Saturday morning, Tripura Government’s Health and Family Welfare Secretary, Mr. Gite Kirankumar Dinkarrao, visited Dharmanagar District Hospital in North Tripura.

Leading a high-level delegation, the Health Secretary toured various departments of the hospital and reviewed the existing infrastructure, healthcare services, and the progress of ongoing developmental projects. During the visit, he closely examined the overall condition of the hospital and held detailed discussions with hospital authorities on improving the quality of services available to patients.He emphasized the need for the speedy completion of various unfinished construction and development works within the hospital premises.

The visit was attended by North Tripura District Magistrate Chandni Chandran, Medical Superintendent of Dharmanagar District Hospital Dr. Bhaskar Das, Chief Medical Officer of Health (CMOH) Dr. Dipak Haldar, along with several senior officials from the Health Department and district administration.The Health Secretary stated that the government remains committed to transforming Dharmanagar District Hospital into a more modern and patient- friendly healthcare institution. He assured that necessary steps would be taken to complete the pending projects at the earliest and ensure improved healthcare services for the people.

The visit generated a positive response among hospital staff and local residents. People of the region expressed hope that the government’s initiative would lead to significant improvements in healthcare facilities at Dharmanagar District Hospital, enabling residents of North Tripura to receive better medical services in the future.
