Sonamura, Tripura, 26th of June 2026 : Sonamura Police during mobile duty recovered and seized total 100 kg dry Cannabis (Ganja), at Majidabari border area, Sonamura under Sepahijala District on Wednesday (24th June, 2026) night.
According to report, during mobile duty at Majidabari border area recovered and seized total-100 kg dry ganja into 50 no,s packets, as unclaimed.
The destination market value of the seized ganja is approximately to be 20 Lakh only.
Interacted with media Inspector Tapas Das, Officer in Charge Sonamura Police Station said that Sonamura police has started an investigation as to who could be the owner of these illegal seizes ganja.
OC also stated that such operations against illegal contrabands would continue next day.
