Agartala, Tripura, 15th July, 2026 : On specific information of the Government Railway Police (GRP), Railway Protection Force (RPF) secret operation was launched in Agartala Railway Station Wednesday (15th July, 2026). According to the sources, RPF & GRP, arrested one (1) drug peddlers from Agartala Railway Station and seized total 150 nos ESkuf cough syrup.
According to sources, on 15th July, 2026 at 6 PM, Railway Police managed to apprehend an accused person namely Kutti Das (20) S/O- Lt. Maran Chandra Das Of Dukli Bankumari, PS- Amtali, Ward no-45, West District, Tripura at Agartala railway station area along with a consignment of total 150 nos bottles of suspected contraband narcotic ESkuf cough syrup in his hand bag.
The value of this ESkuf cough syrup is Rs- 3 Lakh approx in black market Accordingly Railway Police arrested them and seized the contraband ESkuf cough syrup. A specific case vide Agartala GRPS case no- 2026/GRP/046, dtd-15/07/2026, U/S- 21(C) /29 of NDPS Act 1985 has been registered against him. Investigation is going on.
Interacted with media Inspector Raju Bhowmik, Officer in Charge Agartala Railway Police Station gave details about this today. OC also stated that such operations against illegal contrabands would continue next day.
