Mumbai, Maharashtra, 24th of July, 2026 : The Board of Directors of Union Bank of India has approved the financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026. The bank reported a net profit of ₹5,332 crore for the first quarter of FY2027, while interest income stood at ₹27,203 crore during the quarter.

The bank’s total business grew 7.46% year-on-year to ₹23,79,697 crore. Gross advances registered a robust 12.50% growth, while total deposits increased 3.50% year-on-year to ₹12,83,366 crore.
Union Bank also delivered a notable performance in the Retail, Agriculture, and MSME (RAM) segments. Advances under these categories grew 11.56%, with retail advances rising 12.06% and MSME advances increasing 16.49%. The RAM portfolio accounted for 57.31% of the bank’s domestic advances.
The bank’s asset quality continued to improve. As of June 30, 2026, the Gross Non-Performing Assets (GNPA) ratio declined to 2.65%, while the Net Non-Performing Assets (NNPA) ratio stood at 0.47%, representing year-on-year improvements of 87 basis points and 15 basis points, respectively.
On the capital front, Union Bank remained well-capitalized, with a Capital Adequacy Ratio (CRAR) of 18.46% and a Common Equity Tier-1 (CET-1) ratio of 16.38% as of June 30, 2026, compared with 15.30% a year earlier.
In terms of profitability, the bank reported a Return on Assets (ROA) of 1.36% and a Return on Equity (ROE) of 17.23%. The first-quarter results reflect Union Bank’s strong financial position, improving asset quality, and balanced business growth.
