Khowai, Tripura, 7th of September, 2026 : Ahead of the upcoming ADC Village Committee elections, Indigenous Progressive Regional Alliance (TIPRA) Motha party nominated candidates from 17 villages under the Ramchandraghat Assembly constituency filed their nomination papers with the Returning Officer on Monday (7th September, 2026).
After a long period of protests, struggles, and legal proceedings, the Election Commission finally announced the schedule for the ADC Village Committee elections. The announcement has generated considerable enthusiasm and excitement among party workers and supporters.

During the nomination filing MLA Ranjit Debbarma brief on the upcoming election and discussed the party’s preparations.
The nomination filing programme at Khowai Padmabil Block was led by MLA of the Ramchandraghat Assembly constituency Ranjit Debbarma,MDC James Debbarma, local leader Tapan Debbarma, along with other party leaders, workers, and supporters, were also present on the occasion.
