Agartala, Tripura, 7th of September, 2026 : On specific information of the a joint team of New Capital Complex (NCC) Police Station and Assam Rifles arrested two youths from Bihar after recovering two 9mm pistols and three rounds of ammunition.
A joint team of NCC Police Station and Assam Rifles arrested two Bihar youths during a raid in Shalbagan on Sunday. NCC SDPO Subrata Barman, while addressing the media on Monday, stated that the raid was conducted based on prior intelligence. The team recovered two 9mm pistols and three rounds of ammunition from the arrested youths.
Police initially suspect that the two arrested youths may be involved in the illegal arms trade. However, an investigation is underway to determine where the recovered weapons were sourced from and where they were intended to be supplied.
Interacted with media SDPO Subrata Barman said that the arrested individuals would be produced before the court on Monday, seeking their remand. Police have started an investigation into the incident.
