Dharmanagar, Tripura, 28th of July 2026 : As part of its campaign to mobilize support for the statewide ‘Jail Bharo’ (Fill the Jails) movement scheduled for August 10, the Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPI(M)] has been conducting awareness programmes across almost all regions of Dharmanagar Subdivision.

Continuing the campaign, the Bishnupur Area Committee of CPI(M) organized a market meeting at Lalchhara Bazar on Tuesday (28th July, 2026) evening at around 7:00 PM. The meeting witnessed a good turnout of party workers, supporters, and local residents.
The meeting was chaired by Sona Mia and Pranab Debnath. Addressing the gathering as the chief speaker, Abhijit Dey, CPI(M) State Committee member and North Tripura District Secretary, strongly criticized the policies of both the State and Central Governments. He urged people from all sections of society to actively participate in making the August 10 Jail Bharo movement a success.

Among the other prominent speakers were Bijita Nath, CPI(M) State Committee member and women’s leader, Jaynal Uddin, member of the Dharmanagar Sub-Divisional Secretariat, and Abdul Jaynal, member of the Bishnupur Area Committee.
Other party leaders present included Pradyut Sharma, member of the Dharmanagar Sub-Divisional Secretariat, and Chittaranjan Das, Secretary of the Bishnupur Area Committee. Party leaders, workers, and supporters from across the Bishnupur region also attended the meeting and reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the upcoming movement.
