Agartala, Tripura, 23rd of August, 2026 : With the initiative of the Tripura Industries Owners’ Association (TIOA), the General Election for the Executive Committee for the term 2026–2031 was successfully conducted on Sunday (23rd August, 2026).
The General Election of the Tripura Industries Owners’ Association (TIOA) in a free, fair, transparent and peaceful manner, in accordance with the applicable rules and regulations.
The new Executive Committee was elected unanimously, marking an important milestone for the association.
The Election Officer informed that only one valid panel nomination was received within the prescribed period for the election of the Executive Committee. Upon scrutiny, the nomination was found to be valid and in accordance with the prescribed election procedure.
As there was only one valid panel in the fray, no polling was required and the panel was accordingly declared unanimously elected for the Committee Period 2026-2031.
According to TIOA, the association is preparing to celebrate its 10th Foundation Day on September 2, 2026, at the TIOA office in Bodhjungnagar. The occasion will also mark the formal introduction of the newly elected Executive Committee for the term 2026–2031. The celebration is expected to highlight TIOA’s journey and future initiatives.
The Foundation Day celebration will be dedicated not only to commemorating the journey and achievements of TIOA but also to giving back to society through several important social and community-oriented initiatives.
As part of the programme, a Mega Health and Eye Check-up Camp will be organized, along with the felicitation of meritorious students among the children of industrial workers. A Tree Plantation Programme will also be held to promote health, education, and environmental awareness.
The programme is expected to be graced by Hon’ble Ministers of the Government of Tripura, distinguished dignitaries, senior government officials, members of the media fraternity, and industry owners from across Tripura.
